FCR Trophy Desert Mule Deer Hunt

The FCR is about 40 K acres split in half with deed private acrage and landlocked BLM administered leased lands boasting huge herds of trophy mule deer, barbary sheep, quail, dove and predators for hunting.
This is a huge property surrounded by other private ranches with little access.  Hunters will be able to hunt areas that seldom if ever have seen a man let alone a trophy mule deer hunter looking to bag a giant back country buck.  Many deer have been taken in the area with racks over 30 inches!  This hunt is for true hunters wanting to test their skills and endurance in a location that provides wild remoteness and trophy deer potential.

Once known as the Flying H, the ranch was home to Billy the Kid known gunslingerand killer working for owner John Tunstall during the Lincoln County Range Wars during which Billy the Kid was shot dead by Sheriff Pat Garrett and ranch owner John Tunstall was murdered by the Murphy Dolan gang.

Today, the ranch is managed for trophy mule deer hunting with first class lodging in private casitas and dining to be remembered.
In 2006, the SFGC took three lucky hunters on to the ranch to be the first hunters and two took nice deer while the third went home with stories of the very big one that got away and dreams of returning in 2007.

2007 season
5 day archery hunts in September and January
